Strategic Planning.

Implementation.

Successful Execution.

We understand how much school leaders have on their plate, and the constant pressure to outperform year on year. Luckily, our expert consultants have the ‘know how’ when it comes to running successful maths departments and delivering results. We promise to help you take the next leap in your school’s growth and development plan.

Whether working with us for 3 months, or two years, once a week, or once a month – we will be here to support you from the strategic planning, through implementation and successful execution.

As educators and leaders ourselves, we understand how difficult it can be to manage the conflict between the many dimensions of your role, including being a supportive manager, nurturing relationships with colleagues and simultaneously demanding high expectations and demonstrating your authority.

We get it, and we can help.

  • We can help with mentorship, coaching and training for teachers that require additional support, so that you can spend more time focussing on the students.

  • We can develop your SOLs and teaching resources, so you can spend more time talking about pedagogy.

  • We can put robust and accurate data monitoring systems in place, so that you can spend more time analysing student progress and creating actions from it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my school need consultation?

Are your student’s GCSE outcomes meeting the national average? Are 80% of your students meeting their target grade? Are your HPA students leaving school with grade 8 and 9s? Are your key groups of pupils, such as PP, SEN and ethnic minority students meeting or exceeding their expected grades?

If you answered “no” to any of the questions above, you could benefit from some consultation with one of our experts.

How does it work?

The Consultant will visit your school to meet with the Head of the Maths department to discuss the current situation. This can include information about the students’ recent results, and historic result data, current strategies being implemented with KS4, the experience and qualifications of the teachers within the department, any CPD needs, and particular groups of students or staff that are of concern.

Once we have an idea of the present circumstances, we will work with the Head of Maths to establish an answer to the question “where do you want to be in 3/6/9/12/24 months from now”. Using this key information, the consultant will create a plan of action, with reasonable time frames, to help improve the outcomes of students at your establishment. Once the improvement plan has been reviewed and finalised with the Head Teacher / Head of Maths, the Consultant will visit your school at pre-agreed regular intervals, to ensure that staff are confident using the suggested resources, students are happy with the strategies that have been put in place and that teachers are given the support and CPD required to be able to carry out the suggested improvements effectively.

How long does consultation last?

Different schools need different levels of support. We have been asked to go in to school for a one off half day to assess the quality of teaching and learning within the maths department. Likewise, we have worked with schools long term to improve the outcomes of their year 11 students over the course of 2 years. We are happy to support your school for however long you feel you need, and once we have an idea of the goal behind bringing us in, we can discuss an appropriate time frame that we think the goal can be achieved in.
